The tragic incident of the murder of Nazreen, wife of Samajwadi Party leader Zaheer Salmani, has sent shockwaves through Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur district. The incident unfolded on Saturday when an unknown assailant entered Salmani’s house in Hapur and fatally shot Nazreen. Despite immediate medical attention, she succumbed to her injuries.

Upon receiving the distressing news, the UP police swiftly responded, transporting Nazreen’s body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination. The authorities, including Hapur Superintendent of Police Abhishek Verma and forensic experts, initiated an investigation into the heinous crime.

Reports indicate that Nazreen was struck by three bullets during the attack, raising questions about the motive behind the murder. Eyewitnesses have been questioned as part of the ongoing investigation, although the actual reason for the targeted attack remains elusive.

Nazreen, aged 38 and the second wife of SP leader Jahir Salmani, was at home during the attack, while Salmani himself was away in Meerut for property-related matters. Upon his return, Salmani was confronted with the devastating news of his wife’s untimely demise.

The entire community and political circles are deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence, and efforts are underway to apprehend the perpetrator responsible for this tragic loss.
